News/Media: LPS-TV

LPS-TV is the educational access cable TV station for the Lawrence Public Schools. Now broadcasting on both Comcast Channel 10 and Verizon Channel 41, LPS-TV's goals include:

  • Showing the community the great work being accomplished in the Lawrence Public Schools. LPS-TV broadcasts school assemblies and classroom lessons and highlights honor roll students. Each year LPS-TV broadcasts the graduation from the Lawrence High School Campus and eighth-grade promotion ceremonies from nine different schools.
  • Keeping students and parents informed about LPS events in our schools. By broadcasting meetings of the school committee and informational forums hosted by the superintendent, students and parents have current information on the state of the Lawrence Public Schools. Through an electronic bulletin board we provide timely information on school activities including PTA meetings, report card nights, sporting events and emergency school closings.
  • Assisting in professional development. LPS-TV's duties include videotaping professional development seminars and making copies available to all schools.
  • Entertaining the audience. LPS-TV broadcasts sporting events from the Lawrence High School Campus and theatrical productions from all LPS schools.

During the school year, LPS-TV's broadcast schedule changes three times per week. Regular programs include:

  • Fun with Science
  • GED On TV
  • Hora de Cuentos
  • Inside LHS Campus News
  • Khmer Folktales
  • Lancer Game of the Week
  • Que Pasa Padres
  • School Beat
  • Story Time
  • Superintendent’s Forum
  • Time for Class

Please check the electronic bulletin board on Comcast Channel 10 and Verizon Channel 41 for daily program schedule. Call LPS - TV at 978.722.8223
