Special Education

The Lawrence Public Schools is committed to celebrating the diverse abilities of all learners. Regardless of disability type and level of need, students with disabilities have a right to be educated with their nondisabled peers and be fully included as members of their general education classrooms and school community. Lawrence Public Schools has a robust continuum of special education programming and services available at all levels, from preschool through the completion of secondary education, or until the transition to adult services.
