Adult Learning Center Events

Massachusetts offers both the GED and HiSET as approved tests that lead to the awarding of a Massachusetts High School Equivalency credential.   The Lawrence Public Schools - Adult Learning Center Test Center is located at the Lawrence Public Library, 51 Lawrence Street (3rd floor), Lawrence, MA. We administer the HiSET test  in both Paper/Pencil and Computer format in English or Spanish.  The GED test is administered in both English and Spanish, computer-based only.  Those planning to take either set of tests must register for an account at www.HiSET.ets.org or www.GED.com, schedule tests and pay for testing through this same website.  We at the LPS-ALC Test Center are happy to help.  Please call us at 978-722-8114 or This email address is being protected from spambots. Our Center is prepared to assist adults who are interested in preparing to take the test through our classes at the Lawrence Public Schools - Adult Learning Center, located at 147 Haverhill Street.

Mrs. Chupkai's ESOL class visited the Addison Gallery at Phillips Academy.  They observed many artists' work and learned about the historical as well as the artistic perspective.  They were able to practice their English with the Education director.  Here they are showing that Life certainly resembles Art!
