On November 22, 2017, Governor Baker signed into law the LOOK Act. The new law required the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education to propose some regulations that are now available for public comment. Proposed regulations will have an impact on:

  • parent involvement
  • English learner education programs offered in districts
  • teacher qualifications
  • seal of bi-literacy opportunity offered to students

Our district would like to reach out to parents to inform them of the proposed regulations and how they can provide feedback. Please join us for a parent meeting at the Arlington Complex on May 7th from 3:45pm-5:00pm to discuss these proposed regulations.
