students watching the screen during a Skyped science lesson

5th Grade students at the Arlington Middle School, along with two other 7th grade classes in the state, learned about marine biology and ocean archaeology in a special Skyped lesson today. The 5th graders came down to the Arlington TV studio to interact with the researchers and other schools. Scientists from Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary and the Inner Space Center answered live questions as the students took part in this unique lesson. Thanks for such a fun science lesson.

Congratulations to the parents at the Arlington school for graduating the LPS Family Institute for Student Success last night. LFISS is a nine week program that teaches parents how to be more involved in their child's education to create a college-going culture for their children.
