More that 1,600 students at 17 schools attended February Acceleration Academy over break. They took ELA classes to help them stay on track and be the successful students we know they can be!

In their annual event, Rotary Club donated more than 1,300 dictionaries to all third graders in the Lawrence Public Schools. Many thanks to all involved for supporting our students.

Congratulations to Mayor Dan Rivera and members of the Lawrence School Committee. They were sworn into office as part of the official celebrations for the City of Lawrence held at Lawrence High School Campus.

Students from 5 Lawrence Public Schools were invited to sign a contract to be part of this motivational program with the Boston Celtics organization. Participants promise to work towards excellent attendance and improved grades and can be reqarded with amazing gifts and activities as their achieve their goals.

In a brief Press Conference, Superintendent Riley announced that a State appointed board, that will include community members, will take over the receivership when his contract ends in June, 2018.
