Superintendent Paris with students in classroom

Students at the Lawrence High School were greeted by our new Superintendent, Cynthia Paris, as they arrived for the first day of school. She was welcomed to the District as she visited classrooms and toured the campus. We wish her all the best as she begins her work here in Lawrence.

Lawrence Sports Leadership Camp brought a full week of intense practice and leadership training to middle school age students in Lawrence. About 250 students from around the city took part in this camp, during a very hot week, to learn skills in several sports from experts, including the New England Revolution, so that they will have more experience by the time they get to high school. Photos from the past two years of camp.

Lawrence Public Schools and dozens of community partners welcomed our youngest learners and their families in a Block Party event. This is the 3rd Annual Lawrence Learns Block Party where prek and kindergarten students and their families had lots of fun while learning what they need to do to get ready for the start of the school year.

Thank you to all our wonderful community partners and volunteer staff who made things bright on a partly rainy afternoon, and to our wonderful families for attending. Enjoy some photos of this fun event.
