In a brief Press Conference, Superintendent Riley announced that a State appointed board, that will include community members, will take over the receivership when his contract ends in June, 2018.

The totals are in and students and schools around Lawrence managed to raise $13,406.48 in spare change during the Puerto Rico fundraiser last week. This student from the Lawlor School thinks that is great! Thank you Lawrence for caring!

Mayor Rivera and Governer Baker with LHS Students

Governor Baker and Mayor Rivera visited the Lawrence Public Schools to celebrate the College and Career Pathways Kickoff, which allows over 200 high school students to take courses at Merrimack College and Northern Essex Community College.

Students, families and citizens of Lawrence get together every year to clean up the Spicket River. This has been a tradition to clean up our city and make it better, cleaner, and safer for all of us. Thank you volunteers for all of your hard work!
