During a special ceremony attended by Lt. Governor Karyn Polito, and other community leaders, Lawrence High School received a STEM Grant. Massachusetts Life Sciences Center selected LHS as one of 5 schools from across the state to benefit from funding to purchase modern equipment and support STEM coursework. Lawrence High School senior Alexis Martinez is the first-ever Lawrence High student to earn an appointment to the prestigious United States Military Academy at West Point, according to the Academy's available records. LHS Campus Headmaster Michael Fiato said, "The Lawrence Public Schools community is extremely proud of Alexis' appointment to West Point. This is an example of how we are working to provide the necessary conditions and support systems for all students to determine and follow their own best path to post graduation success."

Students in the ENLACE February Acceleration Academy Journalism class worked hard on their reports all week. The group was invited to use the LHS TV Studio to record their hosts reading their prepared introductions, just like the TV News. Well done, ENLACE Reporters!
