Welcome to the School for Exceptional Studies's Therapeutic Token Economy.  In life, we all are rewarded for our hard work and proper interaction with our community and its citizens, by earning a salary and being able to use the money we make to purchase items.  The SES Banking System exists to replicate this experience for our students, where they also earn a salary for having proper interactions within the school community.  Based on a set criteria of adhering the requireeements of earning points on the SES Pointsheet, points and levels translate to a determined weekly pay allotment of specific SES Cash.  Separate for standard money, SES Cash is currency that is only valid for use at the School for Exceptional Studies.

Every Friday, students visit the SES Bank where they apply new pay to their balances.  While at the bank, students are able to purchase items from the display case.  Students with perfect attendance for the whole week are able to spin the attendance wheel for prizes.  If you are visiting SES, take a look at the display case.  It is located outside the main office.

Michael from the SLC Program and his mother show his new iPad provided by a grant from the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation.  The iPad came with specialized software to allow Michael to enhance his communication at home and at school.  On behalf of SES and Michael's family, we would like to extend a most sincere gratitude to the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for all its work with children diagnosed with Autism.
