School for Exceptional Studies Annex Events

Families and staff celebrating friendsgiving

Staff and students at the SES Annex celebrated their 4th Annual Friendsgiving on Tuesday, November 22nd. We enjoyed a Friendsgiving Feast together as the Annex family.

Student receiving their certificate

SES at the Annex celebrated their many successes in their end of the year July celebration. Great effort students for earning all those awards.

Students playing matching game
This annual Friendsgiving event at the Annex was extra special this year when 20 students from the Bruce School joined the celebration. This group of 6th and 8th graders stopped by to meet and spend some time getting to know the students from the Annex. The two schools are collaborating in a project to provide social interaction for Annex students and already created new friendships. Happy Friendsgiving, everyone!

Students with autism awareness tshirts
Students and staff had lots of fun participating in activities to celebrate "Light it Up Blue" for Autism Awareness Month. The Easter Bunny even took time to stop by on his busy schedule.
During the month of April, schools and organizations around the world are helping to shine a light on Autism. If you pass by the SES at the Annex in the evening this month, look out for their blue light display in the windows.
Students keeping inventory
At the SES Annex, students run the ANN-EXtra Snack Shack offering snacks and beverages for sale.  Part of this job is to keep track of inventory, provide customer service, and money transactions.  Students shop for the inventory monthly.  Here, employees of the Snack Shack work with Mr. Rocky on checking their list.
