On Friday, March 15th, Lawrence Rotarians delivered dictionaries to the South Lawrence East third grade students. Rotarians led a discussion as students looked through the dictionaries to see all the information they contain. Thank you the Rotary Club of Lawrence for your generous donation.

On Friday, February 8th, the South Lawrence East Elementary School hosted a Sweetheart Dance. Parents and guardians accompanied their children to an evening of dancing. Some students even taught their teachers some new moves.

On Saturday, December 8th, South Lawrence East families celebrated Breakfast with Santa. Students enjoyed a delicious french toast breakfast, crafted ornaments, decorated gingerbread men, and visited with Santa himself.

On Friday November 30th, cartoonist and author Mark Parisi visited the South Lawrence East Elementary School to speak with third and fourth graders. He shared how he became a cartoonist and what inspired him to write his  Marty Pants book series.
