Boston Bruins alumni Bob Sweeney (and mascot Blades!) gives Mrs. Lennon and students tips and pointers both in the classroom and on the court!

On Friday, October 26, representatives from the NHL Bruins organization came to the Wetherbee School to see the work that the sixth graders have been doing with the Hockey Scholars STEM program, an online series of courses designed to increase student interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. Special guest Bob Sweeney, a native of Massachusetts and a Boston Bruins hockey player from 1986-1992, made a special appearance to give the kids some advice about life, a career in sports, and how to pick just the right flex on your hockey stick! A great time was had by all in attendance.
