Professional Development

On Thursday, August 16, 2018 the Wetherbee school's Paraprofessionals hit the floor running! They enjoyed a wonderful professional development presented by Joe Petner about the role of the paraprofessional as an instructional support.

Recently at the Wetherbee, third grade students completed an area and perimeter project in which they got to design their own Minecraft Village. Students had to design buildings using their knowledge of area and perimeter and then create and build a village! Look at their great effort and final results!

Wetherbee fourth graders at Camp Otter

The Wetherbee fourth graders recently went on a three day field trip to Camp Otter in Salem, NH.  Students enjoyed archery, canoeing, zip lining, and many other fun activities! Even the rain didn't stop the fun!

Students from Abbott Lawrence Academy worked with younger students at the Wetherbee School in this production of the classic "Tom Sawyer". This was the final theatrical performance for the school year in Lawrence Public Schools. Enjoy some photos from the play.

The Wetherbee staff and students are showing their school spirit. Spirit week was created by 8th grade students in partnership with Aaron's Presents. Mrs. Niziak's 6th grade students showed up dressed to impress on Dress Up Day!
